WingMall spreads love and happiness among children in Sihanoukville

March 4, 2022

WingMall makes donations of food and materials to M’Lop Tapang to support vulnerable children and youth.

WingMall continues to provide community services in provinces where it operates by providing donations of food, study materials, rice, and more to M’Lop Tapang, a local nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and shelter to vulnerable children in Sihanoukville.

“We are thrilled that M’Lop Tapang has allowed us to join this social cause. We believe the availability of healthy food is one of the key motivators for children to love their school,” said Panh Phanith, Head of Business Development at WingMall.

“WingMall not only provides incremental income to our merchant partners and job opportunities to young people, but we are also extending our support to vulnerable communities throughout the country,” said Phanith. “Our vision is to blend technology and digital payment solutions with our scale and reach across the country to improve the lives of everyone”

Established by a small group of foreigners and locals in 2003, M’Lop Tapang today works with over 5,000 children and families in the Sihanoukville area, providing access to the learning tools, specialized services, resources, and opportunities they need to build a better future.

Through Mlop Tapang, WingMall has shared food for 400 children, youth, and staff, as well as books, masks, hand sanitizer, first-aid kits, parasols, and other study materials.

Enjoying his lunch while laughing, a 7-year-olds boy who receives accommodation, food, and education from M’Lop Tapang said, “I’m so happy with this delicious meal, thank you WingMall for the yummy food today!”

In early February, WingMall announced that for every customer order placed through WingMall, it will donate 2000 riels to M’Lop Tapang, for the first 4,000 orders until 24th February.

“We are delighted that WingMall has joined us to support our children and youth. The donation today is a big sharing of love and care, and it motivates us to continue our cause to help children have a brighter, more prosperous future,” said Roth Chanphalkun, Executive Director of M’Lop Tapang.

Last month WingMall had donated to the Buddhism for Social Development Action (BSDA) organization to help vulnerable children and youth in Kampong Cham province and will extend the next donation to a suitable organization in Battambang province.
